The second method, which is used more in the smallest patients, is to collect material for smear and scraping using adhesive tape. In this case, the laboratory technician sticks a special adhesive tape to the anal area, and then removes it carefully. The results of such tests usually indicate that there are no pinworms in the child’s body, but this is a mistake.
