Russia mourns for children who could not be protected: June 4th is World Day for Innocent Children
June 1, the whole world celebrated Children's Day.
Three days later, on June 4, adults all over the world remember children, which protect, alas, failed.
Day of innocent children - victims of aggression was established in August 1982.
The reason for this was the aerial bombardment in Beirut.
Then the Israeli air force launched massive air strikes on several cities and towns of Lebanon.
At the same time, a huge number of minors, women, old people, who had absolutely nothing to do with the relations between the two states, perished.
It happened June 4, 1982.
Then UNESCO Director Henrietta Faure condemned violence against Lebanese children, and the date of the tragedy was decided to perpetuate International Day of Remembrance.
The UN agreed and added a few more important additions. Aggression against children decided to consider the following:
- recruitment of children and their use in hostilities;
- the killing of minors;
- child abuse;
- kidnapping;
- attacks and attacks in hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other institutions, where there are always many minors;
- denial of access by one of the belligerents for humanitarian assistance to children.
The day of innocent children is the day when adults remember and try to feel fear, suffering, pain and horror of babieswho have been physically and mentally abused.
