40 years old was the first child out of the tube: how does Louise Brown live?

July 25, 2018 turned exactly 40 years since the birth of the first child "from probiks".

IVF method allowed to be born Louise Brown. Childbirth occurred in 1978 in Greater Manchester in the UK.

Four years later, Louise's sister was born, who became the first ECO child who managed to get pregnant naturally and give birth to her baby as an adult. Thus, the myth that “test tube” children are fruitless has been dispelled.

For four decades, thanks to in vitro fertilization, more than six million children have been born.

The method implies fertilization outside the female body - in the laboratory, fertilization of the seized female eggs by the husband’s or donor’s spermatozoa is carried out. After that, after a few days, the embryos are transplanted into the uterine cavity, and then the pregnancy usually proceeds.

Today, IVF has become more affordable. In Russia, infertile couples can make it according to the state quota. And this is a real chance for couples who cannot conceive on their own or are at risk of having a sick baby due to genetic diseases.

The first girl "from the tube" Louise all her life was under the scrutiny of journalists and doctors. It seemed to everyone that somewhere developmental abnormalities should appearbut the girl was developing quite normally.

Today she is an exemplary mother and wife. Louise has been married for 14 years, she has two sons, conceived naturally.

Louise works, tries to devote more time to the family and claims that her life is no different from the lives of others. It's just that the press representatives are watching her more closely, apparently still waiting for a trick.

Also, says Louise, a little more interested than required, she is met by doctors, no matter what experts she may apply - dentists, surgeons, therapists. They also wonder how Brown lives, but from the point of view of medical science.
