Four children in the Orenburg region almost drowned in a ... puddle!

Specialists of the search and rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Orenburg had to spend unusual rescue operation in the city of Novotroitsk.

There, four boys between the ages of 8 and 10 were nearly drowned. in a huge street puddle. Children played nearby and went out on thin ice, which covered the unauthorized "pond" on the road.

The air temperature in recent days in the Orenburg region is about zero Celsius, and therefore the ice has melted and the crust has become thin.

Deep potholes on the road in winter filled with snow, and now with water. As a result, the depth of the puddle in some places is 70-80 centimeters!

Ice under the weight of children began to break, the boys began to call for help. When rescuers arrived, one of the children was able to crawl to a solid surface on their own (the width of the puddle spread all over the street).

The remaining three children were evacuated from the icy water with the help of a special rescue ladder - the “bridge”. None of the guys was hurt.

The incident made the residents of Novotroitsk seriously think about how they would go and drive when all the snow had come down. City Hall in response to outraged comments promised to repair yet at least the most broken streets, and in the future - all highways that need repair.
