Children of single parents offered to take in the kindergartens

The State Duma of Russia received a proposal that may make life easier for single moms and dads. It is proposed to take in kindergartens children who are raised by a single parent, first of all, on a par with the children of servicemen, policemen.

According to the existing law, children who are raised by a single mom or single father do not yet have any preferential rights when enrolling in a preschool institution. They enter the gardens on a common basis.

At the same time, not all single parents have capable relatives and relatives in general, who would agree to sit with the baby, while the parent earns himself and the child for a living.

It is proposed to simplify the procedure for registration in the kindergarten for such children. After submitting the application from the parent, the child must accept out of lineso that the parent will be able to quietly go to work and provide himself and the child with a decent living.

A week earlier, the State Duma received another “kindergarten” bill, which implies the introduction of the right to extraordinary enrollment in kindergarten children from large families. They, unlike children of single parents, have such a right spelled out in the law of the 90s, but they were simply forgot to mention it in the existing Federal laws, and therefore large families along with everyone stand in a queue at a preschool institution, and sometimes have to issue children in different kindergartens, where the place was made, at different ends of the city.

It was decided to combine both proposals in one session. If bills are approved and adopted, the innovations will come into force next year.
