“Ticket to the Future”: children in Russia will be oriented to occupations from the 6th grade

The Russian Ministry of Education is launching a new project called Ticket to the Future on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. This is a career guidance project that implies early orientation to a particular profession. Within the project it is planned to introduce vocational guidance from the 6th grade, and not from the tenth, as it was before.

This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Sustainability of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.

Objective of the project - to tell children about various professions in an accessible and detailed manner.. But it should not be limited to stories alone, and this was emphasized by the head of state when he gave the appropriate order.

Therefore, all students of Russian schools from the 6th grade will be able to attend the practices of various Russian companies that have decided to join the project and try their hand at the chosen profession, learn its subtleties and features.

If a child is mistaken in his ideas about the future, then it is better to reveal it now than later, when a couple of higher education institution courses in a particular specialty are completed.

The project "Ticket to the Future" will give children the opportunity to better imagine what they want, what university they need to prepare for, what to become. Today, the reality is that up to 35% of school graduates do not represent themselves in any of the professions and submit documents to different universities, and sometimes to different specialties.
