Children can begin to assign the title "Hero of Russia"

In Russia, they can begin to assign the titles of Heroes to children who have manifested themselves in this way. This was reported by the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Anna Kuznetsova.

In particular, she stressed the title "Hero of Russia" can be awarded to childrenwho committed feats to save the lives of others.

When a child, risking his own life, saves others, he deserves to wear this title no less than adults, Kuznetsova emphasized.

In the near future, Kuznetsova’s office is going to submit the personal affairs of two children to the head of state for consideration. They should be the first underage Heroes. Now their documents are carefully studied by a specially created commission.

It's about two teens - Julia King and Julia Chernova. The first two years ago, during a terrible tragedy on the Karelian Syamozero, despite the danger, selflessly saved drowned children, she managed to save several people.

The second year ago, she pulled out five children — her brothers and sisters in the Belgorod Region — from a fire on their fragile shoulders.

"Hero of Russia" - a state award, the highest rank, which is awarded by the head of state for his services to the country and the people, for the feat. In the hierarchy of state awards of Russia, this award is at the first place.

According to the Decree of the President, each Hero of Russia, after being awarded the title, a bronze bust is installed at home.

Today in Russia there are 1099 Heroes, most of them are military, many have received the Golden Star of the Hero posthumously. If Kuznetsova’s proposal is approved by Vladimir Putin, then the first Heroes - children will appear on the lists of the winners.
