Sweet poison: homemade cakes bought over the Internet can be dangerous
Rospotrebnadzor warned parents against ordering homemade cakes online. The ministry officially announced that private pastry chefs offering their pastries in social networks for children's birthdays and other holidays are not registered as individual entrepreneurs. And this means that there is absolutely no control over them.
Products made at home from unknown products, not tested for quality and safety. Rospotrebnadzor does not have information about how home baked goods are stored, transported, and therefore no one can guarantee that the child will not feel bad after such a birthday cake.
Cakes and pastries are classified as products with perishable ingredients. In industrial production, strict sanitary control is established for their manufacture.
Home products, according to experts Rospotrebnadzor, can cause a strong allergic reaction, as well as infectious diseases. Intestinal infections, according to sanitary doctors, in childhood are transferred much harderthan older people.
It is also planned to carry out explanatory work with the producers of home baking for sale. If children suffer from poor-quality sweets, Rospotrebnadzor will accept statement from parents. The identity of the seller will be established in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, after which the pastry chef will have to answer at least for illegal business activities.
