Waited for: allowance for children with disabilities increased twice
Complaints of parents of children with disabilities are finally heard: President Vladimir Putin signed a commission, according to which in Russia increases the amount of monthly allowance for children with disabilities.
On February 20, information about this was sounded in the traditional annual Address of the President to the Federal Assembly, and on February 22 it became known that the legislative base was ready for improvement.
From July 1, 2019, the allowance for a disabled child from childhood of the first group will be increased to 10 thousand rubles, that is, almost twice.
Last fall, State Duma deputies began to discuss a bill to increase this payment, but they could not reach a common opinion. In January 2019, the law was never passed by them. Apparently, without the instructions of the President, the question would have remained unresolved to this day.
Previously, parents of children with disabilities were knocking at all doors, writing to all instances, trying to draw public attention to their problem: the allowance was established in 2013 in the amount of 5,500 rubles, and so never increased, despite the fact that prices are constantly growing, and most mothers, and sometimes even fathers, simply cannot work, because disabled child needs daily, round-the-clock care.

Now this payment will be increased along with other social benefits and benefits as inflation rises.
