If mother loves: a baby born with 2% of the brain, “grew” it completely

A six-year Briton named Noah Wall did the impossible - he survived after being born with a brain volume of only 2% of normal. The story surprised and shocked the doctors of the whole world, because even according to the most optimistic forecasts, the boy had to die in the first months of his life.

But it is not even noteworthy that the boy survived with 2% of the brain, but that “Grew” the brain to almost normal size. Of course, this did not happen by itself, but with the support of parents and medical specialists.

During pregnancy, Shelley Wall was advised to undergo an abortion for medical reasons, since it turned out that the fetus's skull is almost completely filled with cerebral fluid, and the brain in it takes up only 2% of the area. According to the doctors, such a child could not live independently, see, speak, hear, eat.

Despite the terrible diagnosis, the parents of Shelley and Robb decided to try their luck and refused to terminate the pregnancy, saved the baby life.

Immediately after the birth, the doctors, without much hope of success, performed the operation and pumped out excess fluid from the skull. What was their surprise when the brain suddenly began to grow and after three years was about 80% of the norm! Both the hearing and speech functions were accessible to the child, he sees and understands everything.

Now Noah Wall is six years old. The only thing he has not yet learned is to walk independently, but in this direction he and his parents work. The boy dreams not only to get on his feet, but also to learn how to ski. From birth, parents and doctors worked with him for hours, so that Noah would be easier to master movements and skills.

Doctors consider the history of the disease of the six-year British to be amazing and outstanding, not fitting into any medical standards and reference books. They say that this story emphasizes once again that far from everything in this world is in the power of doctors, not everything can be explained by science, and sometimes the love of parents and their belief in a positive outcome work wonders.
