Evelina Bledans intends to cure her son of Down Syndrome

49-year-old TV presenter and actress Evelina Bledans, after losing a child conceived in the summer of this year through IVF (in vitro fertilization), said on social networks firm intention to cure the younger son Seeds of Down syndrome. She said she intends to do everything possible to "put the child on his feet." Modern medicine, according to Bledans, has many opportunities to maximize the quality of life of "sunny" children.

Evelina said she plans to try all methods and methods until she achieves the maximum result in this case. She believes that remedial work with children born with Down syndrome, should not be considered unpromising.

Down's disease, with which Simon was born, is considered an incurable congenital chromosomal abnormality of 21 pairs of chromosomes. Among chromosomal pathologies occurs more frequently than others - according to WHO statistics, this diagnosis is born every 700 babies on the planet.

Evelyn learned that her baby had Down syndrome, even during pregnancy, such results showed prenatal screenings and other diagnostic studies. She had the opportunity to have an abortion for medical reasons, but Evelina and her husband, Alexander Semin, decided to leave the baby and raise him.

The marriage broke up a year ago. Now the TV presenter raises Seeds independently. She is the head of a charity fund to help people with Down syndrome "Love Syndrome".

Officially, there is no way to treat Down syndrome, but three years ago, American scientists found "Turn off" the extra chromosome that is present in "solar" people by the method of gene therapy. However, while it was possible to "turn off" the extra chromosome in 21 pairs only in the conditions of laboratory test tubes. On children, the experiments have not yet been made.
