The selection of this professional club is very tough. Almost all boys in the USA dream of getting into it, but it was Matthew who was lucky.

The boy wrote a touching letter to the club management, in which he said that he had been undergoing treatment at a children's hospital for several years and most likely would not leave it, because doctors did not give positive predictions about his illness. But if he could recover, he would make every effort to become worthy of the honor of playing for the club.

Letters from the children in the club receive a lot, but this message struck the hearts of the strict trainers and sports managers. They decided to invite Matthew to their club as an honorary player.

A press concert at which the decision was announced was staged right in the hall of the children's hospital where the child is being treated.

The boy thus became the youngest player in the professional club in its history.

The president of the football club, Ben Gampert, said that Matthew’s unrestrained spirit inspired the players, and the mood of adult athletes changed from the boy’s presence in the team. They are now more focused on winning at all costs.

Matthew, along with all attend training, if he is allowed by doctors. By the way, the boy’s doctor-in-law, Daniel Rastley, noted that the boy’s condition had stabilized after he was admitted to the football club. Now the doctors are surprised to state that even improving.
