Who Russians raise: parents told about who they see their children in the future

New poll VTsIOM showed who Russian parents would like to see their children in the future. As part of a sociological survey, residents of the country's regions were asked one question - which profession do they consider preferable for their sons and daughters.

The majority of respondents (almost 20% of the total number of respondents, that is, every fifth!) Answered that want to see children as doctors. The profession of the doctor enjoyed about the same popularity among children in the Soviet Union in the 1970s and 1980s.

15% of surveyed moms and dads expressed the hope that their children will become military.

Approximately the same want to see a child a successful lawyer. About 10% of parents support that the child learns programmer or system administrator, connected his life with the Internet, robotics, the development of new computer technologies.

13% of moms and dads want a child to send feet in banking and certainly became the director of the bank, at worst - a leading economist.

7% of parents want to see a child as an engineer or a famous athlete.

8% of parents said that they want children to become politicians and diplomats.

The popularity of creative professions is rapidly falling.

Only 4% of mothers and fathers in the survey expressed a desire to see the child. artist, singer, musician or artist.

And the most disliked were the professions. priest, teacher and farmer. 1% of the parents surveyed spoke for the son-priest, 3% for the child teacher, and 2% for the farmer’s child, even if successful.

A survey conducted earlier among high school graduates showed slightly different preferences. Children, unlike their parents, want to become not doctors and military, but programmers and entrepreneursbecause they consider that such a choice of a life path will bring them a greater level of income and a wide range for development.
