Krosh and Nyusha teach children to count money

The Russian Ministry of Finance, animators from St. Petersburg and the Riki group of companies decided to help young Russians learn the basics of financial literacy. New project "Smesharikov" is a cycle of animated series in which boys and girls will be told about loans, wages, retirement savings, insurance, mortgages, consumer rights and other financial aspects of adult life in a simple and understandable way.

The ABC of Financial Literacy will be released not only on screens, but also in hard copy - illustrated books have been released as part of the project. The authors of the idea believe that their favorite characters — Krosh, Nyusha, Kopatych, Sovunya and Barash — will be able to teach children how to make choices, weigh financial risks and take responsibility.

The series and tasks in the print edition are thought out in such a way that the information is of interest both for kids and for their parents. Topics are fully consistent with the program to improve financial literacy, adopted in all Russian schools.

The first two episodes of the new project are already available on the official Smeshariki channel on YouTube. On the last day of January 2018, the premiere series “Noble Business” and “Paradise Island” were added.

All other series of the project will appear on the channel gradually until the end of August 2018.
