A bill has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation about reducing the time frame for making a decision on issuing a maternity capital certificate to an applicant. It is proposed to limit the time for checking the documents submitted by the applicant, confirming the right to receive matkapital, to two weeks. After a maximum of 15 days, the issue must be resolved, and the applicant is notified of the decision made.
Matkapital - a measure of state support for families with children. It is provided to families in which born or adopted second or subsequent child. You can get a certificate only once.
In 2018, its nominal value is equal to 453026 rubles. From 2020, maternity capital will be indexed in accordance with inflation.
The family can decide for itself where to spend this amount - on improving housing conditions, forming the funded part of the mother’s pension, and educating children. It is possible to purchase the necessary means of rehabilitation for children with disabilities.
Now the State Duma is solving the issue of expanding the scope of capital, it is planned that families will be allowed to pay with a certificate for the purchase of land or the construction of a summer house.
