Mandatory childhood vaccinations will be more
National immunization schedule for children planned to expand. This insists Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
To date, the calendar, according to which children and adolescents are vaccinated, contains vaccinations against 13 dangerous infections. This, according to officials, is not enough.
It is planned that preschool children and primary school students will additionally be vaccinated against rotavirus infection. Today, such a vaccination can be done only in a paid clinic.
The need for it appears mainly in the summer, when the child is planned to be taken out to sea. Most parents do not even suspect that a vaccine against rotavirus infection exists at all.
The realities are such that, due to rotavirus, it is sometimes necessary to quarantine entire classes in schools and groups in preschool institutions. For adults, rotavirus is not so terrible - they have a rather strong immunity.
Protection against rotavirus is formed with each subsequent infection. In young children, immunity is weaker, and therefore they need support.
The initiative of Olga Golodets was approved by the Ministry of Health. Since when the national calendar of preventive vaccinations will change until it is reported.
