Pediatrician in Bryansk refused to examine a crying baby
Pediatrician of the Bryansk children's polyclinic № 2 refused to examine the three-year-old child who cried at the reception. Mom brought her little daughter on holidays to the clinic to a specialist on duty with complaints of cough and high fever. But, having seen the doctor, the girl was frightened and began to cry. According to the mother, the child had such a reaction to people in white coats after the baby had to extract a tooth at the age of two.
The pediatrician did not listen to the complaints of the parent, categorically stating that she was not going to examine the crying child. Of the recommendations, she advised only to be treated with the same treatment as before, and it is better to educate the child.
Mom had to leave the doctor's office with nothing. A little later, the child was accepted, but already in another hospital.
The outraged parent complained to the Bryansk Department of Health. She has not received an answer yet.
Crying a child at the reception in any case is not a reason for denial of medical care. By law, the actions of a pediatrician are subject to a violation of several points of professional ethics and a criminal article on the failure to provide medical care and negligence.
