Non-standard children: in Perm, the girl was suspended from classes for pink hair color

The tenth grader of the Permian gymnasium No. 4 was decided to be suspended from classes for an unusual hair color. Teachers and school principal did not like the pink hair of a child.

The suspension was supported by the director's order with reference to the SED - 059-01.14-162 of July 25, 2017. This document was adopted within the walls of a particular educational institution, it regulates the requirements for the appearance and clothing of the gymnasium students and the responsibility for violations of these requirements.

The director was not stopped even by the fact that the girl with pink hair was the daughter of a local deputy Nadezhda Agisheva.

The mother of the tenth grader published this information on the Internet and demanded justice.

Recall that at the beginning of the week a scandal in St. Petersburg received wide publicity, where a high school girl was not allowed to attend classes because of her rich blue hair color.

At that time, the ombudsman for children in St. Petersburg and the Department of Education of the Northern Capital stated that the suspension from the lessons was illegally and violates the child’s right to education, guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, none of the existing laws and regulations implies a ban on studying for children with a non-standard appearance - with an unusual color of hair, skin, tattoo or piercing.

The school authorities in St. Petersburg brought an apology to the girl’s parents and the student was allowed to attend classes, despite her blue hair.

In Perm, the director of the gymnasium is still adamant and does not intend to cancel her decision.

There is information that the prosecutor's office has already become interested in the incident. If signs of violation of the rights of the child are found in the actions of the lyceum's leadership, the director will be ordered that the child should return to school. If the director does not cancel his decision, prosecutors and parents will be able to go to court.
