"More life": Free nannies for sick children appeared in Perm

In Perm, the first nannies who completely free to help parents of children with severe and sometimes incurable diseases.

The project was named "More Life". It was created for the development of children's palliative care. More than 3 million rubles were allocated for the project, 2.5 of which were allocated by the local Ministry of Social Development, and the rest is funds from private philanthropists.

Thus, the nanny will receive a salary from this money. The allocated funds will be enough to pay. 12 thousand working hours for helpers.

So far, 30 families have been identified whose children are seriously ill and need around-the-clock care.

The duties of the nurse include carrying out hygienic procedures for the child, his feeding, leisure activities. Also, the assistant will make sure that the baby takes the medicines he needs on time and must go for a walk if his state of health allows.

The nanny can come for a few hours so that parents can go about their business and stay for the whole day. This is decided by parents.

16 residents of Perm have so far wished to become palliative nannies.

Among them are women with medical education, and women are teachers. The first to charge the most "heavy" kids connected to life support devices, feeding through a probe. Among the helpers there is a girl with the education of the artist, and a girl economist.

If Perm’s experience is deemed successful, such palliative babysitters will appear in other cities of Russia. The problem is acute - about 40 thousand children in the country need palliative care.
