Treatment by court decision: in St. Petersburg, the father was obliged to treat the child for cancer

Bailiffs of St. Petersburg received an unusual court decision for execution.

The servants of Themis obliged their verdict residents of the northern capital treat your own child for cancer.

The baby was already undergoing treatment, and the initial chemotherapy gave positive results.

Dad thought it would be enough and insisted on stopping the treatment.

However, the mother of the baby and doctors of the specialized cancer center had a different opinion on this matter. They went to court to give the child a chance to cure a dangerous disease.

The servants of Themis sided with the doctors and agreed that the father’s refusal to treat the child violates the interests of the minor and his right to receive medical care.

The bailiffs have already told the father about the consequences of refusing treatment.

They not only prepared for the conversation by reading a lot of medical literature and articles about the consequences of late treatment of oncological diseases, but also reminded that for non-execution of the court decision threatened by criminal liability.

It is difficult to say what exactly affected the father - the possibility of terrible consequences for the baby or the threat of criminal prosecution, but the very next day after the commencement of enforcement proceedings he brought the baby to the hospital to continue therapy.
