Friend or dangerous beast: why children are attacked by domestic cats?

A six-year-old boy was brought to one of the district hospitals of Volsk, who nearly lost sight because of a domestic cat.

Doctors trauma diagnosed in a child bitten wound of the century of the third category.

The cat's teeth and claws are just a millimeter away from the important structures of the baby’s eye. The boy was given the necessary vaccination for rabies and tetanus, washed the wounds, treated them. Now the child was allowed to continue treatment at home.

The boy’s parents claim that the cat in aggression has never been seen before, he is calm, homely, and no one knows what “has found” on him.

Experts warn that in the spring, even lazy and apathetic domestic cats can be a danger for kids.

It is during these months that the real ones wake up in baleen-striped predators. Moms and dads should at least temporarily limit the communication of young children with cats.

According to zoopsychologists, domestic cats and cats, which are excessively spoiled by the love and care of their owners, most often play the role of aggressors.

They almost constantly “compete” with children for the right to be caressed, and it is they who in the spring can begin to “take out” resentment and irritation on the weaker family members - children.

In Samara, a week earlier, a domestic cat bit off a one-year-old child's earlobe, and in Novosibirsk in mid-March, a domestic cat strongly clawed the face of a two-year-old boy, protecting her newborn kittens from him.
