Child benefits in 2018 increased by 2.5%

From February 1 of this year, children's allowances, funding for which comes from the state (non-regional) treasury, increase by 2.5%. Indexation is carried out in connection with the implementation of the Decree of the Government of Russia No. 74 of January 26, 2018. The document implies increase in payments and compensation taking into account the increase in the subsistence minimum and inflation.

  • Now the one-time allowance, which is paid when the baby is born, will be 16,759 rubles. This innovation applies only to babies who will be born on the first day of February and later.
  • The monthly child care allowance for women who do not work, as well as for female students, will henceforth amount to 3,142 rubles for the first child and 6284 rubles for the second child.
  • The lump-sum benefit that adoptive parents and guardians receive when determining a baby to a family will also grow by 2.5% and amount to 16,759 rubles, of course, provided that the verdict of the court or custodial body entered into force on February 1 or later.
  • If the family decided to adopt a disabled child, a child who is more than 7 years old or several children who are brothers (sisters), the spouses are entitled to 128,053 rubles. The condition is the same - the court decision on the transfer of babies (baby) should take effect on February 1 or later.
  • The lump sum allowance to the pregnant wife of a military man, both personnel and conscripts, will now amount to 26,539 rubles, while the wife of a conscript soldier will receive 3,174 rubles each month.
Accrued under the new rules of the family will be able to get already in February.
