Putin signed a decree on increasing benefits for children with disabilities
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that increases the amount of benefits granted to families raising disabled children.
The new benefit amount will be 10 thousand rubles, while in recent years the monthly payment did not exceed 5.5 thousand. Previously, the allowance was not increased, not indexed, although prices in the country grew rapidly. Now the manual will be indexed annually in accordance with the rate of inflation.
Allowance in the amount of 10 thousand rubles will begin to pay from July 1, 2019.
Parents, adoptive parents, guardians and caretakers of children with disabilities who do not work and care for an incapacitated child who has not reached the age of majority (age 18) can count on it. We are talking about children with acquired disabilities and disabled since childhood.
Previously, the amount of the allowance was revised six years ago and was never indexed.

Parents of children with disabilities waited for this event for a long time, they wrote complaints and appeals, demanded an increase in social payments, but until this year the question remained unresolved, State Duma deputies at the end of last year postponed consideration indefinitely.
In February of this year, Putin noted in his Address to the Federal Assembly that he had heard the appeals of mothers, fathers and guardians and would do everything to resolve the issue of payments as soon as possible. After a couple of days the document was handed over for development, and now signed.
The changes will take effect automatically, no additional documents are required for the recipients of this allowance to the social authorities. For those who will issue this benefit for the first time, from July 1 of this year, the payment will also be automatically assigned in a new size.
