Size of maternity capital in 2018

At the end of 2015, federal law No. 433-FZ of December 30, 2015 was signed, which extended the maternity capital program until December 31, 2018.

According to legislation, the amount of maternity capital, as well as the balance for each unused certificate must be indexed annually. However, due to the federal budget deficit, this did not happen either in 2016 or in 2017.

Moreover, from January 1, 2018, the law on freezing the amount comes into force: the amount of maternity capital will not rise for another 2 years until 2020.

Therefore, in 2018, the amount of maternity capital will again amount to 453,026 rubles.

Recall that from January 1, 2018, another area of ​​maternity capital use is being established - to pay for preschool education for children over two months old. The certificate can also be aimed at improving the living conditions of the family, training and keeping any child in an educational or educational institution, adaptation and social integration of children with disabilities and the mother's funded pension.

Recently, Vladimir Putin ordered the extension of the maternity capital program to December 31, 2021.
