Take care of children: Rospotrebnadzor warned about activation of ticks due to weather conditions
Rospotrebnadzor published official warning - in all regions of the country due to unusual weather for June ticks activated.
For people, the weather is not very comfortable - the rainfall in most subjects of the Federation exceeds the norm, and the sun and heat are not enough. But for ticks this weather is very favorable, they actively multiply and experience severe hunger.
At the beginning of June, over 220 thousand people turned to hospitals and clinics in the country complaining of the bites of aggressive arthropods. More than 57 thousand of them are children.
Tick-borne borreliosis and encephalitis have been identified in a number of regions. These diseases, which cause virus mites, can be fatal or have extremely serious consequences for a child’s health in the future.
Russia also launched hotline for the prevention of ailments that are transmitted with tick bites. Sanitary doctors answer the questions. In each region, there are hotline telephones in the territorial office of Rospotrebnadzor.
Specialists reminded parents that children who go to the park or to the forest should be worn correctly - clothes should be as closed as possible.
You can and should use special anti-tick remedies.
After the walk, the child’s body, his neck and scalp must be examined. If a tick is found, it should be removed and contacted with the Federal Service or the polyclinic at the place of residence.
