Rospotrebnadzor told how to choose children sweet New Year's gifts

Rospotrebnadzor on the eve of the New Year issued a memo-recommendations on the selection of sweet Christmas gifts for children. Experts advised to buy only those sets that include candies and cookies. with a minimum content of food additives, preservatives and homogenized fats. The composition can be found on the packaging. If there is no relevant information on the festively decorated box or box, you should not buy a set.

Also, Rospotrebnadzor experts recalled that products such as apricot kernels and peanuts are strong allergens, and therefore confectionery with them for baby food are not suitable.

Experts of the department advised parents to abandon caramel and lollipops because of the abundance of dyes in them. Among other things, it is not necessary to include candies with an alcohol content higher than 0.5% ethanol in the confectionery set.

If a toy is provided in the chest, it should be in a separate package so that there is no contact with food.

Not all Russian retail chains and confectioneries that today form sweet kits for the New Year adhere to these requirements, and therefore parental control will not be superfluous. The direct line began to work on the department website, and experts will be able to answer questions about how to choose gifts, Christmas tree and other New Year attributes.
