In Russia, the birth rate began to fall - why?

Rosstat stated with regret that the birth rate in Russia has declinedand quite intensely.

Between January and June of this year, the birth rate decreased by 4.7%, and the death rate rose immediately by 0.7%. The data was compared with last year's similar indicators.

In half a year, 782 thousand babies were born in the maternity hospitals of Russia, while the state registration of acts of the city state recorded the death of 946 thousand people during the same period of time.

In some regions, the number of newborns remained at the same level as last year. The birth rate remains more or less stable in Moscow and the region, in the northern capital, in Krasnodar and Tatarstan.

But in Bashkortostan, in Siberia and in the Urals, they began to give birth significantly less.

The reasons are still set by experts, but the alleged reason is called financial uncertaintyAfter all, income is almost not growing, but prices are rising, and rapidly. Not knowing what will happen tomorrow, many spouses of reproductive age make decisions delay the birth of a child, despite all the measures of state support for families with children that are currently in force.
