Maternity payments are rising in Russia
From May 1 of this year the minimum payout when going on maternity leave will increase 8 thousand rubles and now exceed 51 thousand rubles.
This is due to the increase in the minimum wage on a nationwide scale.
The Social Insurance Fund of Russia stressed that women who go on maternity leave will receive a new payment. from May 1, 2018 and later.
Those who make out the sick-list in April, under increase of payment will not fall.
Previously, the amount of maternity allowance, which is popularly called simply “maternity”, was minimal 44 thousand rubles 140 days of vacation.

The decision to increase the minimum wage was taken at the government level. Today the minimum wage is 9489 rubles and this is 85% of the subsistence minimum.
Since May 1, as envisioned by the Government of the Russian Federation, The minimum wage will be equal to the subsistence minimum. Its size will be more than 11 thousand rubles.
