In Russia, there will be a state nanny for low-income families

In our country, it is planned to create an institute of state nannies for children from low-income families. This was reported by the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova.

The number of complaints she receives from such families has exceeded all reasonable limits. Therefore, there is a need to resolve the issue of providing free babysitters for families with no means to pay for the services of such an assistant in raising a child.

The well-being of such families cannot get better until the mother is forced to stay at home with the baby. She can go to work, but she’s not paying for a nanny for a child.

The project, which will provide free assistance to such families, was named “Social Nanny”. In some regions of Russia, he is already working in pilot mode and is being funded so far from private philanthropists and regional budgets.

All-Russian project may be in the very near future.

Free state nannies will be recruited from among teachers, medical workers, and child psychologists. Labor exchanges and the Ministry of Labor will be engaged in professional selection and advanced training of nannies.

Pay for the work of specialists will be from the budget. Nannies with pedagogical or social education will work with healthy babies from low-income families, in which mom and dad need to work almost for life. But medical nannies will sit with disabled children who need special care.

Families that can count on all the criteria for such state assistance will be determined by the social welfare bodies of the Russian population.
