The Code of Administrative Offenses may be supplemented by a new article imposing a large fine for leaving the child in the car.

This proposal was made by Andrei Shibaev, deputy chairman of the Moscow City Duma security commission. Capital officials decided to prepare a draft and submit it to colleagues from the State Duma.

In different countries of the world, dozens of children die each year, which parents leave in their parking lots. Some newer cars, for example from Hyundai, are even equipped with a special passenger recognition system.
