In Russia, you can now get matkapital faster

Vladimir Putin signed the law about reducing the period of issuing a certificate for maternity capital.

If earlier officials had 30 days to check the submitted documents and make a decision on issuing a certificate, now they have to do all this work, including notification of parents, in a little over two weeks. 15-day period established by federal law.

The decree of the President of the Russian Federation is published on the official Russian portal of legal information.

This decree implies not only simplification of the procedure for obtaining a maternity capital certificate, but also reduces the time available for consideration of information on deprivation of parental rights, the abolition of custody or adoption, and also the issue of charging to families with children certain due to them under the law benefits.

The deadline for all these actions is set. within 14 days.

The maternity capital program in Russia was conceived and launched in 2007. Families in which a second or subsequent child was born after 2007, or a second or subsequent child was adopted have the right to it. The certificate is issued only for one child.

The cost of the certificate this year is 453 thousand 26 rubles. The family can spend this money at its own discretion either to improve housing conditions, for example, by paying a mortgage loan with a certificate, or to educate children, or to form the funded part of the mother’s pension. You can also pay for the purchase of rehabilitation tools for a disabled child with the funds of a matkapital.

The program was extended until the end of 2021. Then, it is possible, the program will be extended for another few years.

This year a decision was made on capital indexation - in three years he will be 489 thousand rubles. This increase is already incorporated in the draft budget. The first indexation will be held in 2020 - the cost of the certificate will increase to 470 thousand.
