Russian scientists have taught the robot to treat autism in children

A good robot will come to the aid of doctors and parents in the treatment autistic children.

Scientists were able to teach the robot identify and accurately identify the emotions that a small patient is experiencing. This is expected to help cure cases of high-grade autism.

The robot will have a personalized, individual approach to each child, in his memory will be laid the peculiarities of emotions of each patient.

The task of the robot - make it easier for the child to manifest emotional reactionsIt is with this that children with a diagnosis of autism have particular difficulties.

It is difficult for children with highly functional autism not only to express their emotions, but also to understand others. And a kind robotic "doctor" will also help them in this.

The robot receives and analyzes information from three sources.

First of all carefully examines the child's face, posture, gestures due to the built-in video cameras. At the same time he records voice small patient and analyzes changes in tones and pitch of sounds.

And finally captures physiological parameters - registers body temperature, electro-activity of the skin, heart rate, blood pressure due to high-tech sensors.

All parameters are fixed at the same time and the logical ones are connected into a single whole - at the moment of joy the heartbeat becomes more frequent, the body temperature rises to the tenth of a degree during a fright, etc.

While the first prototype has been created, it is planned to test it on small patients in metropolitan clinics. Only then can the question of the “miracle doctor” mass production be raised.
