Russian women have demanded that Putin reduce the gestation period to 7 months

On the public platform Change.org, a popular petition is gaining popularity, in which the authors demand that the President of Russia Legally reduce the duration of pregnancy for Russians from the current nine months to 7 months maximum.

The author claims that the majority of Russian women are ready to give birth more, but their nature limits them for too long a period of gestation.

Seven-month-old children are viable, they grow and develop very well, and therefore the author sees it expedient to give birth to women at their request for a period of 7 months by caesarean section.

Today this is not possible, caesarean section is applied only under strict medical indications. Gestational age can also be reduced only because of the risks to the mother and fetus.

The petition for the day gained more than 6000 signatures. If its popularity grows at the same pace, the federal government will have to consider this issue.
