Russian teachers may be required to provide first aid to children.

A bill has been submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, which obliges teachers to learn how to provide their pupils and pupils first aid when it is necessary.

Recently, the number of tragedies and accidents that occur right during classes in schools and kindergartens has increased. So, several students suffered and died right at the physical education classes. People’s elects are sure that the chances of survival would be higher if teachers did not wait for “First Aid”, but could competently and on the spot provide their students with independent pre-medical assistance.

The bill specifies situations in which the teacher must come to the rescue: poisoning, injuries, loss of consciousness, convulsions, as well as other conditions that threaten life and health.

The bill also changes the process of admitting pupils of schools and pupils of kindergartens to physical education classes. If the document is adopted, then the child will need to attend such lessons and classes. special certificate issued by the clinic and certified by the attending physician or chairman of the medical board.
