The Russian schoolchildren offered to take away gadgets more than 5 thousand rubles

It is almost impossible to prohibit children from bringing gadgets to schools, but schoolchildren can be equalized in using smartphones and tablets. Do not allow children to bring gadgets to schools that cost more than 5 thousand rubles, suggested the deputies of the State Duma.

The author of the idea is Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Education and Science.

Deputies sent their proposals in a letter to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.

Such a measure, according to the deputies, will stop useless rivalry among children for whose phone is more expensive and whose tablet is better. Schoolchildren will be able to compete in who is smarter, smarter, wittier, who learns better and makes progress in sports.

The measure will help fight with manifestations of social inequality in classes, because not all moms and dads can afford to buy gadgets for several tens of thousands of rubles.

On the eve of the start of the new academic year 2018-2019 school year, Olga Vasilyeva said that from September 1, schools will begin to equip schools special cells for gadgetsthat children bring to school. For communication with parents, there will be one common telephone in the classroom.

At the end of the summer, Gennady Onishchenko, the former chief sanitary officer of the country, suggested following the example of South Korea, where not only any gadgets, but also selling and drinking coffee are prohibited in schools.

In today's proposal of Boris Chernyshov, only one thing remains unclear: who will evaluate the cost of a child brought to school gadget? Will I need to bring a check with the specified value? And what to do with expensive gadgets - withdraw or not?

Recall that teachers do not have the right to take away a child’s phone or tablet, because by doing so they violate constitutional right to property.
