In the interests of children: Russians want to be obliged to ask permission to sell apartments from guardianship agencies

In Russia it is planned to change the order of purchase and sale of apartments in which minor children are registered and live.

The amendments to the existing Civil Code were prepared by specialists of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

To sell an apartment in which a child is registered or lives, parents will need to receive guardianship permission on a deal.

If the supervisory authority refuses, considering that the housing rights of the child will suffer as a result of the transaction, arrange such a sale will be impossible.

It is assumed that such a measure, although it complicates the process of selling and buying real estate, can effectively protect children from dysfunctional families.

Today, the housing rights of such children are often violated, because parents can sell the only housing for mere pennies in order to secure a financial base for drinking or buying drugs.

Opponents of the initiative claim that the new law will contribute increased corruptionAfter all, for the sake of a covenant sale permit, some moms and dads will not spare a certain amount of money as a reward to the person on whom such permission depends.

In addition, the work of the courts may be added, there will definitely be cases unreasonable refusal in a real estate transaction that parents will want to challenge in court.

The document is planned to be considered in the Council for the Improvement of Civil Legislation under the President of Russia April 23, 2018.
