Incomes are falling, families are impoverished: Rosstat has revealed the truth about the incomes of Russians

The Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on the eve presented disappointing, true, but completely official data - the average income growth of Russians in May slowed sharply and now is no more than 0.3% per annum, while only in May revenues "went to the peak" by 9.3%.

Hardest hit families with children.

Back in April and March, Russians' incomes confidently grew by 4.5–4.7% year on year. And it really pleased, considering that during 4 years before this income was declining.

When compiling statistics, experts take into account real incomes that remain at the disposal of the family after deducting the necessary payments (utilities, loans, minimum food basket) and comparing balances with the consumer price index.

Prices in May did not please either - they grew absolutely in all regions of Russia by 0.4%, and the notorious gasoline went up immediately by as much as 5.6%.

On the "Direct Line" on June 7 of this year, the President of Russia declared that the country had managed to achieve a steady income growth.

Experts attribute the fall in revenues to the instability of the ruble and rising fuel prices. According to forecasts by financial analysts, families with children and without children will not have to rely on income growth in the near future - estimated growth can only occur in early fall.
