School fees have become more expensive: the average purchase check has increased by 23%

Russian bankers claim that the cost of an average check for children's products to school this year increased by 23% compared with last year.

School clothes for boys and girls showed the most significant growth. It has risen by almost 13% compared with last year. I was surprised by the experts and the rise in prices for such goods as regular physical education T-shirts and table lamps for the student’s room.

T-shirts for unexplained reasons, soared in value by 77% and now cost from 390 rubles, and the desk lamp has risen in price by 42%.

Office supplies went up by 10%, backpacks and school bags by 9%. Shoes increased by 11% compared with the summer of 2017.

Banking analysts, who studied the costs of Russians in fees to school, committed by means of payment by bank cards, argue that the most active in the first two weeks of August were the parents of the Rostov region, Kostroma, the republics of Mordovia, Khakassia and Chechnya.

They are already in full swing to bring children to school, and the demand for many children's and student goods in these regions has tripled.

The leaders in the value of purchases (the size of the average check) were the parents of Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Sverdlovsk and Magadan regions. There were recorded payments in the amount of 45 thousand rubles, 37 thousand rubles, but the average check was 3.5 thousand rubles.

The bankers and the Ministry of Economic Development do not match, because in response to information from bank analysts, the Ministry of Economic Development experts noted that the school uniform had risen in price, according to statistics, by 2.4%, which "is perfectly normal, since inflation was 2.5%."

The first data from Rosstat on the cost of the preparatory campaign for 2018 are similar to those of bankers. Rising prices occurred for all groups of student goods.

The most expensive this year were school fees in the Moscow region, in St. Petersburg and Vladivostok, where parents, by the most minimal standards, are required not less than 23 thousand rubles for the fees of one child to school.

The most inexpensive, according to preliminary data from Rosstat, will be fees to a school in Mordovia, Saratov region, Bashkiria - about 13 thousand rubles for all.

Consoles one thing: in the last days of August, prices on school markets usually begin to decline, because sellers understand that the time to trade is over. They make big discounts, so some parents deliberately postponed fees to school until the very last days of August.
