Today in Russia the maximum amount of childcare allowance has been increased to 26,100 rubles.

From January 1, 2019, parents will receive increased childcare allowance for children under one and a half years and the so-called maternity pay.

The allowance, which a woman is required by law when applying for maternity leave, rises to a maximum of 301,955 rubles for the stipulated 140 days of maternity leave. If the vacation lasts longer (twins were born, a cesarean section was made), the maximum size cannot be increased beyond the specified value.

The maximum monthly payment for a child under the law for a child to one and a half years has been increased to 26,100 rubles.

Specialists of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia stated that the increase in these benefits is associated with an increase in the marginal value of the base rate for assessing contributions to the Social Insurance Fund.

As for the minimum allowances for going on maternity leave and caring for a child up to one and a half years, they also grow up together with the minimum wage - the minimum allowance for caring for a child up to 1.5 years will be 4,500 rubles.
