Families with three or more children will receive 450 thousand rubles to pay off the mortgage

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the Central Bank on lower rates on mortgage loans for large families. Families, where the first, second or subsequent child was born on January 1, 2018, have the right to a so-called “child mortgage” with state support at 6% per annum. The rest for 3 or 5 years (depending on the number of children) is subsidized by the state. President urged to reconsider this issue and introduce state subsidies not for any limited periods (3 and 5 years, respectively), but for the entire term of the mortgage loan.

For those in whose families a third, fourth or subsequent child is born, the President proposed the introduction of one more support measure - 450 thousand rubles to pay off the mortgage existing at the time of the child’s birth.

The money is planned to be paid from the federal budget.

At the same time, it is planned that the innovation will begin to act in an unusual and non-standard way for legislative initiative backdating. That is, families in which the third and subsequent child was born on January 1, 2019, will already be able to count on such a payment.

The head of state suggested that the new housing would become more affordable for large families: if you add up the cost of maternity capital and these 450 thousand rubles, you will already have more than 900 thousand, which in most regions of the country is about half the cost of an apartment.

The President ordered to amend the budget as soon as possible.
