Smartphones have a detrimental effect on children's memory.

Korean scientists conducted a study on the radiation that comes from smartphones, and found how does it affect children's brain.

Today almost all children have smartphones, being almost a favorite toy for children of different ages, and this fact cannot but be disturbing, Korean experts believe.

Radiation affects the cerebral cortex of a child more strongly than an adult’s brain. Firstly memory mechanisms suffer. The figurative memory suffers especially, children become absent-minded and inattentive, they hardly remember the new information, and also quickly forget it after memorization.

The first "losses" in the memory center begin after a year of systematic use of the smartphone. With each subsequent six months, the volume of lost functions of the memory center only increases.

The figurative memory is concentrated in the right hemisphere. It allows the person to memorize a large amount of information that is “encoded” into images. It is this type of memory that allows people to fix in their memory, paintings, landscapes, the faces of other people.

Korean experts claim that children and adolescents who are press the smartphone during a call to the right ear.

But radiation affects the children's brain not only during a call, but also during the game, as well as in the process of communication in the messengers.

The study also involved Swiss specialists who helped a group of Korean scientists observe and systematize the results.

The experiment involved 800 children aged 10 to 17 years.

An international group of researchers published their findings on the negative impact of radio-frequency electromagnetic waves on children's brains in several European and Asian scientific media.

Parents scientists recommend try to reduce the harmful effects. To do this, they are advised to use headphones or a headset when calling. The smaller the phone will be in close proximity to the child’s head and ears, the better.

You also need to limit the time that the child spends with a smartphone in his hands, playing, for example, in games. It is recommended to do this no more than 1.5 hours a day.
