Sunshine Football: a unique football team has been created in Krasnoyarsk for children with Down syndrome
In Krasnoyarsk, the second “solar” football team has been created in Russia: in it all players from birth have one diagnosis - Down syndrome.
The idea was made by the parents of the “sunny” kids themselves, they were supported by representatives of non-profit organizations involved in the support and social adaptation of children with disabilities. Headed a team of soccer players coach of one of the correctional schools.
Now in the football squad of 16 players aged 6 to 17 years. The guys are engaged twice a week, on January 25, the guys held the first real football match.
This team does not make bets on cups, medals and championship. Here the other is important - the socialization of children. And football, which is a team game, contributes to this in the best way. The parents of the children have already noticed that their children become more disciplined, they show higher rates in mental development than before.
