In the composition of children's medical examinations in Russia include a new survey - for autism

The Ministry of Health of Russia introduces a part of children's preventive medical examinations new survey aimed at early detection autism. This order was given to the Ministry of Health by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

The order of the Ministry of Health, which will indicate the exact procedure for conducting medical examinations of children with autism research, should be ready by March 10, 2019.

The frequency of childhood autism is growing rapidly around the world.

At the same time, many pediatricians do not have the necessary knowledge and skills to identify children with autism spectrum disorder. In this regard, children at an early age are left without the necessary assistance. Many of those who were not promptly rendered unknowingly, become disabled.

A system for the early detection of autism in children in Russia does not yet exist, and it is this work that the Ministry of Health staff will have to do until spring next year.

In 1995, only 1 child with autism per 5000 births was born worldwide. In 2005, with this diagnosis, 1 child lived for 300 people, in 2014, 1 child with autism spectrum disorder per 68 people was recorded. Today, one in 50 children suffers from autism..

And these data, especially the growth rate of morbidity, can not be scary. Boys suffer from autism more often than girls.

Russia's first federal support center for such children opened in Moscow two years ago. In August of this year, the Ministry of Education presented the first official curriculum for pre-school children with autism.

What will be the survey for all young Russians, while difficult to say. The disease is detected by a test method, there is an autism rating scale, which allows the specialist to draw the appropriate conclusion. It is supposed that examination of children by the psychiatrist will be entered into structure of medical examinations. It is also not excluded that pediatricians will be trained in the methods of testing and interpreting the results.

Mandatory medical examinations are conducted from the age of 1 month. After a year, annual inspections. Autism can be diagnosed already at the age of 3 years, and therefore it is assumed that examinations by a psychiatrist will be included in professional examinations conducted at the age of 2 and 3 years.
