This form of admission to the exam is traditionally held at the end of the year preceding the year of the exams. In other words, graduates of 2019 will write an essay in December of this year.
Topics were discussed by members of the Council for the final essay under the guidance of Natalia Solzhenitsyna. This time, students are offered five topics:
- "Fathers and Sons";
- "Dream and reality";
- "Art and craft";
- "Revenge and generosity";
- "Kindness and cruelty".
Olga Vasilyeva noted that the topics of this year are very deep, philosophical and rich, they will require a thoughtful approach from schoolchildren.
Recall that the essay is mandatory for all children who will graduate from school in the spring of next year. Only children with disabilities have the full, statutory right. choose presentation instead of composition.
The final essay can not be written in "excellent" or "good." There are only two assessment options: "offset" and "fail".
If a graduate receives a "fail", he is allowed to retake the test, but not more than two times. If a double retake fails, the child will not be admitted to the USE.
Some HEIs add individual points for writing, but in most institutions of higher education in recent years they have abandoned this practice.
