Sverdlovsk doctors awarded the Golden Hummingbird Award for nursing premature babies

Doctors of the Sverdlovsk Regional Children's Hospital were solemnly presented with the main annual award in the field of neonatology. "Golden Hummingbird" goes to those who managed to save the most lives of premature babies. Doctors called "Miracle Rescuers" and congratulated on honestly earned reward.

Professional award "Golden Hummingbird" was established four years ago. Every year, the Right to a Miracle Charitable Foundation for Premature Babies presents an award to the best nursing care professionals born well ahead of schedule.

Last year, the prize was awarded to doctors from Moscow - then the best results were shown by the specialists of the metropolitan city clinical hospital named after S. Yudin. Prior to this, prizes were awarded to federal perinatal centers. Doctors from the region received an important professional award for the first time..

In the Sverdlovsk region there is a lot of experience in saving premature babies - local doctors have been doing this for more than 20 years. In recent years, specialists from the regional children's hospital have learned how to care for and fall asleep even children, who were born with a critically low weight - 450-500 grams.

The chief doctor of the Sverdlovsk Children's Hospital noted that the “Golden Hummingbird” is not so much a reward to doctors as to recognition of the parental deed and thirst for life of the little patients themselves. Without both, the efforts of the doctors would have no meaning.
