Thai schoolchildren who were rescued from the cave became monks at the monastery

12 teenagers from the junior football team in Thailand and their 23-year-old coach, who recently managed to extract from a flooded cave, went to the monastery.

Schoolchildren should spend exactly nine days in a Buddhist monastery - this is an ancient tradition.

All young men in Thailand must live temporarily in the monastery as novices before they enter independent life. Some decide to stay in the monastery forever, and this is also considered the first independent "male" decision.

Guys, who saved the whole world for several days, many have seen and matured a little earlier, Thai elders say, and therefore they were recommended to go to the monastery right now.

Each of the 12 young footballers in nine days will answer the main question - what's next: sport or monasticism. Their coach, who taught children proper breathing and meditation, which helped them to survive for three weeks in a cave under the ground, has already made its choice - he decided to stay in the monastery forever.

The guys disappeared on June 23. They were searched for ten days. All the guys, contrary to the expectations of the rescuers, were alive and healthy.

A few more days spent the most difficult rescue operation, the divers managed to bring all the guys alive. Killed one of the rescuers.
