With a child - behind bars: in the Sverdlovsk region, the mother of two kids was sent to prison for buying a piece of land

A loud scandal broke out in the Sverdlovsk region, where the mother of two kids was sent to prison for wrong redeemed land.

Three years of imprisonment - such a sentence was pronounced to Irina Sokhareva for violating the law when registering ownership of a land plot. Family housing was arrested. The court, when sentencing, for some reason did not take into account that the defendant has seven month old daughter and three year old son.

Irina Sohareva worked as a sales manager. For herself, her parents and her brother rented out three sites 100 kilometers from Yekaterinburg.

According to Irina, the administration officials who acted as landlords themselves advised her to start construction and then to petition for registration of land in the property. That is exactly what she did.

10 years ago, when the authorities gave the go-ahead for a deal, there was no electricity, gas or work in this village. And only recently have these places become local "ruble". It was then that the officials recalled that the woman bought the land from them at a reduced price.

The mother of two kids was invited to the investigator and accused of fraud on a large scale.

Irina Sohareva provided all the documents and permits that gave her the right to design land for property, but from somewhere there were witnesses who testified that there was no construction at the sites and the woman came up with everything.

Irina and her five neighbors were sent to court, who likewise made out their plots. All got off conditional terms, and the mother of two kids suddenly gave three years in prison.

Local children's ombudsman offered to send Irina to the colony of the youngest childThe law allows a woman to be transferred to a colony, where she can be with her daughter together. Human rights activists of the Sverdlovsk region have already appealed to the prosecutor's office with a request to assess the proportionality of the sentence to the acts. Complaints are filed in higher courts.
