In prison for goodies: the Frenchman was imprisoned for feeding children only sweets
A resident of France went to prison just because fed his children cakes and sweets and watered Coca-Cola. The publication Le Figaro reports that the father, who can rightly be called the father of many children’s dreams in the world, was given three months in prison.
To spoil a child with sweets in France, of course, is not prohibited, but the problem is that this father fed the children exceptionally sweet. There was simply nothing else in the apartment.
Dad himself suffers from alcoholism, tried to be treated several times, visited a club for alcoholics, but it all proved unsuccessful. Lived with him two sons aged 3 and 4. It was hard to say where the mother of the kids was. It is known that she has not lived with her husband for about a year, her whereabouts have not been established.
In the man’s apartment there was nothing out of the usual interior, neither a bed, nor a refrigerator, nor children's toys. The boys slept right on the floor, and they ate only sweets that my father brought from the store every day, when he went to himself for another bottle of alcoholic beverages.
Such a state of affairs could persist for a relatively long time, especially if one considers that European traditions do not imply interference in the affairs of others (the neighbors indifferently walked past, no one ever looked at them once). But some oddities drew the attention of social service staff.
In particular, on bills from a pediatric dentistwho had to remove the older boy, who had just reached the age of four, seven teeth due to malnutrition. Teeth just collapsed from the abundance of sugar.
The condition of the teeth of the younger one was also deplorable.
Employees of the social service paid a visit to the boys' father to ask why the children are so bad about the state of their teeth, but they saw that the children had eaten nothing but cake and soda for at least a year.
Children were taken from the family. During the week, the workers of the social shelter had to re-teach the children to eat properly - eating soups, vegetables, cereals, meat, fruits, drinking milk. Then the boys brothers were transferred to the guardianship family.
Father appeared before the court. He will spend three months in prison in Limoges.
Whether children will be returned to him after his release will depend on can he stop drinking and will he find a jobTo buy in the house a refrigerator, stove, beds. Children cannot return to current conditions.
