Barefoot and healthy: scientists explained why it’s good for children to walk without shoes

In Germany, at the Schiller University of Jena, a group of scientists convincingly proved that lack of shoes has a positive effect on the development of the child.

Children and adolescents who run barefoot keep rabbing better, run faster and jump better.

Scientists stressed that the positive effect of walking barefoot on different surfaces is most noticeable. at the age of 7-10 years for older children, the benefits of barefoot walking are much less.

When walking barefoot, according to scientists, completely different laws of the biomechanics of running and jumping are included. Children who often walk barefoot in preschool age rarely develop flat feet.

The study involved more than 800 children.

The guys grew up in different conditions. Some of the subjects live in the villages of South Africa and have the opportunity to walk barefoot almost constantly. Another part of the children - are residents of German cities, which even at home are trying to impose the wearing of shoes.

Both groups of children passed tests and tests for maintaining balance, balance, jumping and running.

The children took pictures of the feet and made a sweep. Children who run barefoot turned out to be more nimble and healthy. And the city guys showed the best results when took off their shoes.

The research results are published in the specialized pediatric publication Frontiers in Pediatrics.

Authors strongly recommend parents encourage barefoot children. If it is not possible to walk barefoot on the street, then you need to allow your child to at least slap without shoes at home.
