The cause of the "triples" - in the genes: scientists have found that intelligence does not affect school performance

70% child's success in learning depends on the genesand not at all from the intellect, as previously thought. Such a statement was made by British scientists, whose scientific work last week was published in The Conversation.

This means that you can engage in educational games and reading as much as you can with a child who does not genetically have a penchant for good learning, the results will be unsatisfactory. Children, in whom mom and dad are "laid" at the hereditary level, the ability to learn and achieve success in this, and without developing studios and schools they can achieve a lot.

For the experiment involved about 6 thousand pairs of twins. All of them were participants in the British program of early development of twins, sponsored by the state.

Scientists and teachers analyzed their performance from the very primary school to the end of secondary education. Oddly enough, until the successes of the twins were stable. Those children who did well in elementary school showed good results in the final exams.

The impact of parenting, teachers, friends and the environment was estimated by scientists at only 25%.

The remaining 5% are factors that have not yet been explained.

All the twins passed verbal and non-verbal tests for intelligence, and their results confirmed the conjecture - It's not about the level of intelligence, but in the genocode.

The results of the study will form the program for early prediction of pupils' student abilities. When identifying factors that may complicate the child’s learning, teachers will work with him on other, individual programs.
